Hey guys this is a tutorial on how to host a minecraft server without portforwarding or using hamachi!!!
It’s really easy actually, all you need is 2 things, utorrent (for opening the port, no
torrents are downloaded) and the minecraft server.
(works for all versions of minecraft, If it doesn’t work for you please tell me and I will try to help)
you will also need to have the IP that is given to you from ipchicken.com
now watch the video to learn how to do this easy trick!!! 😀
IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES PLEASE READ THE COMMENTS!!! YOUR QUESTION HAS PROBABLY BEEN ASKED AND ANSWERED!!!! ALSO I HAVE PUT THE MOST ASKED QUESTIONS HERE!!!! HOPE IT HELPS!!!!
Most asked questions:
do I use ipv4 or ipchicken? you use ipv4 and your friends use ipchicken
My friends cant join but I can? try making an exception in your firewall for the minecraft server and make sure the ip= area is your ipv4 address.
do my friends need utorrent too? No, only you do.
do I need my computer running for the server to stay up? …. this question is kinda stupid tbh… your server is running off your computer, if your computer is off your server is off, so no it won’t stay up.
does this method work for bukkit servers? yes, all this is doing is opening up a port on your computer without you having to manually port forward in your router settings.
does utorrent give you a virus? no, utorrent itself wont give you a virus, if you install something through utorrent then you might get a virus, but that isn’t utorrents fault, that’s the torrent your downloading’s fault.
Why don’t you like hamachi? A while back someone hacked into my computer through hamachi and gave me several viruses that forced me to do a complete system restart, which basicly is wiping my computer, and having to reinstall my os and everything.
