Demonstration of the clean upgrade process from Windows XP., and similarly Windows Vista, to Windows 10. Note this is a CLEAN install (meaning previously installed programs, files, ect. will be deleted). It is recommended to backup all important files to either online storage or removable device.
An alternative workaround for a “upgrade” to the existing OS would be to upgrade to either WIndows 7/8.1 before upgrading to Windows 10 (which requires a legitimate license for those respective versions of Windows before satisfying the “free” upgrade requirement). My advice: buy a less expensive copy of WIndows 7 or 8 then proceed to redeem the free upgrade offer to Windows 10 (with your files intact). Please note this is the same process for users of Windows XP and Windows Vista.
